The Department of Contract Administration is responsible for creating and maintaining a well-defined administrative control environment that assures management exercises its fiduciary responsibilities when executing and administering contracts on behalf of Texas A&M University.
Contract Review and Approval
Contracts are written agreements binding Texas A&M, and the other party to the contract, to the obligations within the document.
The Department of Contract Administration has responsibility for the review and approval of contracts prior to a contract being signed by the appropriate University officer with delegated authority to do so. Written contracts should be executed whenever Texas A&M University enters into a binding agreement with another party that involves any stated or implied consideration.
